Chocolate Molten Cake

  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 large egg (room temperature)
  • 4 tsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp all-purpose flour
  • pinch of salt
  1. Preheat oven to 375 °F
  2. Grease a 3/4 cup ramekin with butter
  3. Melt butter and chocolate chips with a water bath / microwave
  4. Whisk egg and sugar in a bowl
  5. Fold chocolate mixture into egg/sugar mix
  6. Add flour and salt in and mix well
  7. Pour batter into ramekin till about 85% full
  8. Bake for 10-12 mins (longer if egg was not at room temperature)
  9. Let cake cool for 2-3 mins before overturning on plate
